I have 11 foals to sell starting fall 2009 to spring 2010.
*They are weaned and in the coral, available to see by appointment only!
I added two colts owned by Dawn Allred to the 09 sale list of 11 colts.

Remember folks feed, training and care cost me too!
You can go to the livestock auction and buy a cheaper colt, but
they may not have the same good start, balanced feed and training that my colts have.
Plus my colts have actually spent time up on the mountain their first summer
...the Big Horn Mountains! They are not flat pastures, stalls or paddocks,
lined with fancy fence that won't hurt a colt if they decide to ... run into it!
Being raised in rough country does make a difference as a colt performs
and in how a colt handles himself for the rest of his life!

Good chance of producing roans if you cross this filly on a good blue roan stud.

2/5/2010 - This colt had a 'light bulb' moment today!! He realized he doesn't need to be caught to
have me brush and curry him! He let me curry him all over, tail included and I brushed his
legs all over, up and down...all the way around.

I haven't spent much time working with this colt and thougth it best to not push him
and not wear myself out after already trimming 2 other fillies just before him.
He was not mean about it, just strong and my energy wasn't up to the challenge of trimming his back feet before spending more time picking him up to trim.
I did pick them both up and cleaned them out, so don't think he's not a nice colt!

I know, he does look like just a palomino, but his middle of the summer coat showed lots or roaning all over!
His mane did not change colors though.
I didn't have my camera working at the time to document it.
Then by September he had already started his fall coat and has reverted back to the original palomino coat!
Notice that his dam is a red roan and she had a red roan dam also.
I do have hopes though that he'll just be a palomino with some roaning in his coat, but we'll see spring 2010!

**1st Halter Breaking Lesson - 11/19/09
Very gentle colt. I have been petting this colt in the coral since weaning.
He spent his first month after birth in the coral,
so he had plenty of time to get used to people.
Curried him all over today (11/19/09)
He's small and lanky right now,
but he could easily make 15 hands or better at maturity.
11/24/09 - picked up all 4 feet today. Very easy colt to handle!

This foal reminds me so much of his flashy maternal grandsire, Dude Jones!
Dude Jones was a cutting horse stallion.
He was one flashy fellow, golden palomino with the same pretty,
sharp pricked ears that this foal has!
**This little fellow was actually a twin.
His sibling was underdeveloped and did not live.
Lucky for this palomino colt, otherwise this pretty baby would not be alive!
